Christmas Blizzard 2009

Be careful what you wish for!! ; ) We to up to 9 inches.   Christmas Eve, the Blizzard really started around noon for us.  I took pictures to show the progress of the storm.  I really thought that we were going to miss the main part of the storm.  Heather's family was in the thick of it all the way.  Pat went to pick up Casey and they really had a hard time getting back. :O  There was no way that anyone was going to get out that night.    We had a good time, played cards and watched movies.  The kids played with the toys!!    I took pictures and will get them on the web site as soon as I can.  I didn't have baby goats thank goodness!  It has been really cold.  The snow blew into the barn.  I haven't seen anything like this in Oklahoma.  I have been in blizzards in Colorado and they look just like this.

The dogs were a hoot!  Woobie loves it.  He comes in and is covered in snow balls.  Rocky had a hard time getting back on the porch.  We had to go get him until a path was made that he could use, he seems to love it too!   It was the first time Pat's lab had seen snow.  He wasn't sure about it at first then he really enjoyed it!!

We kept the horses in the barn Christmas Eve and when they got out Christmas Day they both made horse snow angels!!  So funny.  They rolled and snow flew everywhere.

The weather guys say we are going to have snow on the ground for weeks.  Also more snow is possible next week.  What a way to start the year!!

                                                      HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
