Snickers, Bloomers, Jelly Bean and Soda Crackers
I've finally decided on names for the babies!
Snickers is spotted. Bloomers was a late bloomer, Jelly Bean has a spot on her back, I'll explain the spot later, Soda Crackers is hard to explain. When I looked at her face she has two very light lines from her eyes to her nose. For some strange reason she just reminds me of soda crackers! Don't have a clue why! :O When the babies were young and it was cold we had a heat lamp to keep them warm. At some point during the night they knocked it down and apparently it landed on Jelly Bean. She has a spot on her back the shape of a jelly bean. The heat didn't touch her skin, just her hair. I thought the hair would grow out but to this day she still has her jelly bean spot. She is the biggest of the four. Bloomers of course is the smallest, Snickers and Crackers are about the same size. Snickers loves to get herself caught in the hay feeder. She puts her head in and has a hard time getting it out. Today she walked into the feeder and got her hips caught. I tried to help her out but she really didn't seem to distressed. So I sat out watching the chickens and Snickers and when she wanted out she worked her hips and got out just fine. She may be a drama queen!!

We got four turkeys from a friend. One Tom and three Hens. We got them last week. When we brought them home and the little White Rooster we have beat up on the Tom even though the Tom was three times his size. The second day I found the Tom hiding behind the feed barrel. So I put the rooster in another cage for a few days and when I put him back in with the Turkeys there wasn't a problem. For the first time today the Tom challenged me!! After I saved his live and his reputation!!I didn't let him get the upper hand so today I won! We will see what tomorrow will bring. At least his spurs aren't very big yet!!
We got the vineyard pruned and then we had a cold front come through, thank goodness we didn't have any blooming yet. We have had a tiny bit of rain that has caused the grass to turn and the horses LOVE that. The Sand Plums are blooming and I sure hope we get a good crop this year!!NOTING LIKE SAND PLUM JELLY!!!!!
OH and the deer are back!We are so happy!!!! We have seen allot of them. There have been five or six in the evening on the hill across our fence. We were out late one night this last week and saw at least ten on the way home.
I have a bird making her nest in the yellow bird house in the tree just north of the house.
Pat started his new job and it is taking some time to get use to that!
We had family come in and they slept in the cabin. They were the first and they really liked it. I got satellite tv put in last week that is really nice. All the comforts of home, except running water!!!We do have a little camping port a potty in the cabin so you don't have to run to the house in the middle of the night. It comes in handy!
Laugh of the week, Wedding Pic's from Vegas!!!! (private joke) Love ya!!!
I think I have brought you up to date. Going to plant the garden next week, weather permitting! HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!
