Happy New Year
Happy New Year!!
We are on the downhill slide of the Holidays!! I got my last three gift baskets delivered by 4pm Christmas Eve. I think everything that was ordered made it to it's destination before Christmas!!
I had hoped to take a breath before getting back to work and I am, on the 5th of January!! I'm going to visit my, best friend, pal, sister in arms, the one who kepts me sane!!!! I haven't been on a vacation ALONE in twenty years! If anyone can show me a Good Time, it's LINDA!!! She is the most interesting person I know!! Her job is helping our troops be prepared for their jobs. I'll let you know what kind of trouble I get into!?!?!?
The goats aren't due to kid until the 13th of January but I checked today and they are getting a bag (they are filling up with milk to feed babies). Everyone say a prayer that Pat doesn't have to deal with kidding before I get back. The truth is Pat is very good at the kidding part, it's the feeding of the babies and the milking of the girls that would make him crazy!!! So say a prayer for the babies too!!
We broke the record high for this date, 74, it was nice. I was able to get the barn ready for kids. They need a special place away from the does (mama goats) that is warm, if we need warmth!!! They will still need a place away from the does (mama goats). When they are born, I will put them in the kid pen and bottle feed them. That way they will think of me as Mother. It helps when you have to do anything to them later like, shots, trim feet, milk. They will be use to being handled by me. I have gotten goats from people who didn't bottle feed babies and they were impossible to handle.
I hope you all have a Blessed New Year and lets hope that we all make it through without any major problems!!! If we do have problems let there be a SILVER LINING to all of them!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
