Another interesting day on the Rosa!!    It started as a very normal day.  Pat had an appointment so he feed the animals.  After he left I went out to work on the building.  Putting things back in order.  I heard the new chicks and it just didn't sound right to me.  Pat mentioned he had put more water in for them. 

I took a break and went over to check.  Everything looked okay and I was about to leave when I noticed a little black chick under the water bucket.  It was still ALIVE but not by much.  I got it out and it was cold and shaking.  I just knew it was going to die so I decided that I would hold it until it did.   I went about my business holding the little chick.  I continued doing the building thing and put the chick in my pocket.  It started to make some noise.  I put it on the ground and it looked much better, not great but better.  I went into the tent and it was very warm so I left the chick in the tent as I went about my business.

Soon I heard a peep peep from the tent.  I went in to check and the chick was up and about!!!   I took it back to the chick cage and it did fine.   This morning I went out to check and all is well. 

Everyday is an experience on the Ranch.
